一般来说，图表作文常采用三段式的谋篇方式。文章的第一段往往描述图表，也就是分析图表的数据变化或图画反映什么问题或趋势，概述图表所揭示的信息。第二段分析造成这一问题或趋势的原因或影响或概括数据。第三段则展望未来的情况或提出解决问题的办法或建议。第一段：概述图表或图画反映的主题思想
第二段：提出自己的看法或分析产生的原因或影响
第三段：总结展望未来或提出方法或建议
接下来，我们来看看下面这篇图表作文，看看每段如何具体的展开
Directions: Write an essay based on the following chart. In your writing, you should
1. interpret the chart, and
2. give your comments.
You should write about 150 words on the ANSWER SHEET.
题干要求描述图片中行为，并发表个人看法。图片展示的是我国某城市春节的开销，其中用于购买新年礼物为40%，占比最高，其次聚会吃饭和交通和其它开销展各占20%，文章主题可着眼于分析这种消费模式出现的原因。
文章大致可以分三段，开头段先总体描述图片表示居民春节开销的不同消费，再对图片进行细节描述，指出各种消费行为的占比，最后提出图片表达的主题：新年礼物在居民春节开销中占比最大，聚会吃饭和交通次之。
开头段：总体描述+细节描述+表达的主题
总体描述： the percentage of the residents’ consumption
细节描述：New-year presents, transportation, reunion dinners and other categories of expenditure account for 40%, 20%, 20% and 20% respectively
表达的主题：The statistics reflect that the spending on New Year presents takes up the largest proportion among the four categories. And reunion dinners and transportation take up the second proportion.
主体段主要分析新年礼物在春节开销中占比最大的原因，可以参考议论文现象解释型文章主体段的写作方法一，先提出表示原因的主题句，并给出2-3个表示原因的中心句，并尽量对每个中心句进行论证、拓展、解释或说明。
主体段：分析原因：先提出分析问题出现的原因的主题句，并给出2个表示原因的中心句，并尽量对每个原因进行论证、拓展、解释或说明
原因1：the tradition of giving presents to others (中心句) —— It is known that people is likely to give gifts to each other to give their regards for the new year. (论证中心句)
原因2：the development of urbanization (中心句) —— Due to the development of urbanization, most people move from their home time to work in big cities and they are busy all the year round, so they tend to visit relatives and friends by trains, planes or private cars during the Spring Festival. That is why transportation and reunion dinners are also big consumption. (论证中心句)
结尾段可以参考议论文现象解释型文章结尾段的方法二，总结全文并给出自己的看法。

自己看法：the current phenomenon is of no surprise , and that buying gifts, transportation and reunion dinners will continue to take up a large share in our consumption during the Spring Festival in the future.
